HAYWARD SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHOOL BUS DRIVER AWARDED FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE, DEDICATION TO STUDENTS
Durham School Services Special Education Driver Joline Knott was recognized by the Mission Valley Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) for her dedication to the students she transports each day at Graham Elementary School in Newark. Knott was honored with a Special Education Recognition Award at a ceremony on May 29 for providing outstanding service, caring support and friendship to the students on her bus.
Knott has been driving for the Mission Valley SELPA for nine years. She was nominated by a parent of a student she transports who described Knott’s service this way: “Joline always greets the students on her bus with a welcoming smile. The students feel safe and look forward to their daily ride with Joline.”
Paul Bracco, General Manager of Durham’s Hayward facility, wasn’t surprised Knott received the award. “Joline’s sincere, generous nature really connects with the children she drives. She consistently lives our company values by demonstrating her commitment to safety, service and the community every day,” said Bracco.
