DURHAM SCHOOL SERVICES IN WATERBURY RECEIVES GREEN FLEET CERTIFICATION
Lisle, Ill – The National School Transportation Association (NSTA) recognized Durham School Services in Rosemead, CA, with the Green School Bus Fleet certification in the gold category. The certification program has been endorsed by the U.S. Enviornmental Protection Agency’s Clean School Bus USA program and is the only green fleet certification available in the school bus industry. NSTA recognizes operators for the steps they have taken to reduce emissions and make a positive enviromental impact. “Our dedication to emission reduction is evident in the programs we’ve implemented such as idle reduction and fuel conservation,” said Matthew Lehane, regional manager for Durham. “We will continue to focus on making changes and innovations to do our part in helping make the environment cleaner.” “It is my pleasure to recognize this group for their work towards a cleaner environment,” said Todd Monteferrario, former NSTA president. “We have a long tradition of honoring those who have made valuable contributions to our industry, the students we transport and to the communities we serve.”
