DURHAM PROVIDES SCHOOL BUS FOR LIONS CLUB’S ‘FILL THE BUS’ EVENT
Durham School Services, a leader in student transportation, provided a school bus for the Louisburg Lions Club annual “Fill the Bus” school supplies drive in August.
With increasing school costs, the donations help families in Louisburg prepare for the upcoming school year. Residents from the community donated items such as notebooks, pencils, paper and erasers for students—with the goal of filling up a large school bus.
“On behalf of the Louisburg Lions Club, I want to thank Durham for allowing us to use a bus for our annual school supply drive. It made a great visual statement that reminded the community to donate,” said Marilyn Tesh, Chairman of the Louisburg Lions Club School Supply Dive. “It is a blessing to know that Durham is one of our partners, working to improve the lives of everyone in the community of Louisburg.”
Durham is committed to making a positive impact in the communities it serves, and the “Fill the Bus” event is just one way that Durham shows its partnership.
“We are proud to partner with the Louisburg Lions Club to ensure that Louisburg students have the supplies they need for a successful academic year,” said Cindy Konrade, site manager at Durham School Services.
