Stock firmly believes a strong partnership between the school and the bus company helps make the ride to and from school even safer. We have designed a program for students to learn about school bus safety. The Journey Continues program teaches children attending school from Kindergarten to Grade 8 how to board, ride, and exit the bus the safest way possible. It also demonstrates how to evacuate the bus safely in the event of an emergency.
The Journey Continues
The Deliver the Journey safety team of experienced drivers and staff from Stock will visit the school, and all students from each grade will be involved in this one-hour program throughout the day. The students will learn the safest way to wait for, board and exit the bus. They will review the bus rules while learning about the safety features on the buses. An emergency evacuation will be taught. There will be a demonstration of the correct methods to be used when crossing the street in front of the bus. This program includes both an in-class, and an in-bus session.
